Rachis: you may not know what it means.....
But you know what it is.

Rachis - The Winemakers Postings

The term rachis refers to the stem portion of the grape cluster that allows the juicy grapes to be perfectly positioned to ripen fully.

Rachis was chosen as the name for this section as it is meant to be the structure underlying each post which is meant in turn to provide a unique, educational, and entertaining perspective of grapes, grape growing, and the wine industry in Washington State.
